Ah the t-shirt…is there anything more American than a good old fashioned t-shirt? Well maybe apple pie, denim, and paris hilton…but I digress.

I consider the t-shirt to be an interface of sorts (ya see how I tied it in there…genius). It tells the world just a little bit about you, kinda like a bumper sticker, but a lot more comfortable.

Recently I have become hopelessly addicted to the search for a great t-shirt. I find myself wandering the internet looking for “the perfect shirt”. What is the perfect shirt? Well, it is completely subjective, but here are my requirements:

  • Funny…not stupid funny, but something that takes a second to get, but when it clicks it’s hilarious.
  • Non-offensive. I wear these shirts to work so I can’t run around with large expletives on my chest (not to mention having to explain it when my son points at it).
  • Not artsy…flying pegasus going through a trippy 70’s rainbow fountain of love is just not my cup of tea.
  • Not too expensive. I have been amazed at how much some of these shirts are…I mean really, who wants to pay $30 (with shipping) for a t-shirt?

I currently am an avid purchaser at Threadless. I seem to find one I like about once a month or so.

Some of my other favorite t-shirt sites are:
addicteed
iloveyourtshirt

Here are some of my most recent finds:
Procrastinators
Calling home

I finally found the one I hunted for over 6 months…
So have any of you been bit by the t-shirt bug? Know where I can find some? Drop me a line and send me a link.

Each Friday (and sometimes even during the week), I post up about a shirt that I stumble across and love. You can see all of them by checking out the tshirt archives.
